Despite its conservative style and approaching replacement, this generation of the CR-V was made to appeal to a wide variety of customers. Performance & Handling
The 2022 Honda CR-V has a turbocharged engine that takes 8.5 seconds to reach 100 km/h from a standstill. While the CR-V is not quick, it has enough acceleration for the average commuter. The turbocharged engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). CVTs are often criticized for their lack of responsiveness and disconnected driving experience. However, the CR-V’s CVT surprises us by delivering a more natural and refined driving feel. Honda has done a commendable job tuning the CVT to provide smooth and seamless power delivery, minimizing the characteristic “rubber band” effect that some CVTs exhibit.
In terms of handling, the CR-V does a great job. It offers precise and responsive steering, allowing drivers to steer confidently around curves and corners. Whether you’re driving in the city or taking on winding roads, the CR-V makes the driving experience enjoyable.
Technology & Connectivity
The control layout of the 2022 Honda CR-V is designed with user-friendliness in mind. The overall design of the controls is visually appealing, contributing to an attractive and modern interior.
